SYDNEY SALES.

ANOTHER RISE IN PRICES.

SYDNEY, Wednesday. At the wool sales to-day, 11,844 bales weer offered, and 11,449 sold at auction; also 2076 were disposed of privately.

Under keen general competition, the market for all lines of average quality ruled from par to 5 per cent higher. Finer descriptions advanced 5 to 7 per cent.

The improvement was most accentuated on skirtings. Comebacks and crossbreds were in very keen request at enhanced prices, and greasy Merino made up to lo^d.
