WHEAT BOUNTY
BILL PASSED. (Received Thursday, 9.40 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The House of Representatives passed the Wheat Bounty Bill, providing for a bounty not exceeding sixpence a bushel on the coming season’s crop, whether sold for export or local consumption. It is indicated that fanners will receive at least 3s, and possibly 3s 6d, a bushel.
