STOCK MARKET
MASTERTiON ISALE. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale at Masterton yesterday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to the usual attendance. The sale was a very dragging one, excepting for b.f. lambs and the advance reported last week was not maintained. The following were our sales: —5-year ewes r.w. S.D., 9/9; aged ewes do., 4/6 to 5/4; small m.s. lambs, 5/10; wether lambs, 5/4; 'b.f. 2-tooth wethers, 11/5; good b.f. lambs, 12/-; small do., 7/6; fat ewes, 11/- to 11/6. Heavy fat lambs, 17/10 to 18/3; others, 11/- to 12/6. Cattle: Fat dairy cows, £3 ss; light to £1 18s; light fat steer, £5 12 s. The W.F.C.A. Ltd., report on their weekly sale: —We offered a small yarding of sheep comprising of 2 and 4-th wethers, which met with fair competition and were sold by auction at the following values:—lol 2 and 4-th wethers, at 12/2; 76 Lincoln (thin) 2 and 4-th wethers, 12/2; 30 2-th wethers, 11/-; 21 small do., 8/7; 11 cull do., 7/-; 1 empty ewes, 5/9.
