ADDINGTON PRICES. (By Telegraph —Press Association). CHRIST CHUR OH, Wednesday. There were fairly heavy increases in entries in all the main sections at Addington market to-day. There was a decline in beef values. Store Sheep. —Values were: Medium ewes and lambs (all counted), 12/6 to 14/1; ordinary ewes and lambs (all counted), 9/- to 12/-; backward ewes and lambs (all counted), 7/- to 8/-; good ewe hoggets, to 20/7; mixed-sex hoggets, to 9/-; medium four-tooth halfbred wethers, to 19/-; medium shorn halfbred wethers, to 14/10.

Spring lambs recovered 5/- of the 10/- drop recorded last week. Fat Sheep.—Over the whole sale values were practically on a par with those ruling last week. Fat Cattle.—The best medium-weight prime beef made from 45/- to 50/- per 1001 b; heavy steer beef, from 37/6 to 42/-; cow beef, to 42/-; ordinary beef, 33/- to 36/-; and rough, down to 27/6 per 1001 b. Store Cattle. —A pen of two and a half to three-year-old Shorthorn steers sold at £10; good fresh cows made up to £6 10s, and others about £4 ss. A small pen of yearling heifers made £3 6s. Wairy Gattle.-yGood third and fourth calvers made £lO to ijl2 15s; medium sorts £7 10s to £9 10s; inferior sorts, £4 to £5 10s; good springing heifers, £S 10s to £lO 15s; medium sorts, £7 to £S; inferior sorts, £4 10s to £5 10s. MASTERTON SALE. The W.F.C.A., Ltd., report having held their weekly Masterton sale yesterday, when a fair yarding of sheep was offered to the usual attendance. Forward wethers and hoggets realised fair values. Inferior lots met with a dull sale. The following are details of sales and prices realised: —66 light fat wethers, 23s Id; 3 fat ewes, ISs; 130 forward wethers, 21s 6d; 171 wether hoggets, 17s 6d; 11 S.D. ewes with lambs at foot, 21s 3d; 46 shorn ewes, 8s; light fat shorn ewes, 12s 3d; light fat wethers, 20s; small wether hoggets, 14s 7d.

The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their usual weekly .sale at Masterton as follows: — Wo had a good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs, which were offered to the usual attendance. Bidding at auction was very dull, all prices showing a downward tendency, with the result that several pens were turned out unsold. The following are the prices received for stock sold:—Prime fat shorn ewes, 15s; fat hoggets, 16,s Id to 18s; b.f. hoggets, 13s 3d; .store ewes, 7s to 8s Gd; good ewe hoggets, 20s; good yearling Jersey heifers, £4 12s 6d. Pigs. —Slips, 22s to 23s 6d; weaners, 18s to 21s.

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—We offered a fairly good yarding of about 600 sheep to the usual attendance. Included in our yarding we had a few pens of extra good woolly ewe hoggets, which looked to be good buying, notwithstanding the dull state of the market, at 22s 3d to 22s 6d. We quote as follows: —On account W. Bannister, 112 woolly ewe ( hoggets, 22s iGd; on account Jos. McKenzie, 80 do., 22s 3d. Other lines: 100 woolly ewe hoggets (small), 15s; 143 wether do., 13s; light fat ewes and wethers (woolly), 19s Gd to 21s Gd; fat shorn ewes (good), 15s; light do., 13s 6d.
