AIR LINER.

FOR USE IN NEW ZEALAND. LONDON, Tuesday. Much interest is being taken by experts at the Solent in the neck-end trials of a ilying-boat named the Windhaven, an air-liner for use in New Zealand. The Windhaven is an all-metal boat, fitted with three De Haviland Gipsy 2 engines, totalling 360 horsepower, mounted in the wings. The monoplane has a maximum speed of 110 miles an hour, with cabin accommodation for six passengers. The Cowes trials were most successful. After further official tests at Felixstowe, the Windhaven will be shipped for service between the North and South Islands.
