FEILDING SALE. (By Telegraph—Press Association). FEILDING, Friday. Prices were down all round at the stock sale, when smaller yardings were offered. Dairy stock were of lesser quality and did not attract good prices. The best springing heifers offered sold at £lO 10s. Prices ranged from £5 5s up to that figure. Springing cows sold up to £8; cows in milk, from £4 to £6. Fat sheep were down considerably in price. Woolly hoggets, best, 23s to 24s fid; good, 22s fid to 22,s 9d; poor quality, 17s; shorn hoggets, 20s; b.f. hoggets, woolly, 18s; shorn, 15s to 15s lid; fat ewes, woolly, best weights, 21s to. 25s fid, good to 20s, poor 17s Id; shorn, bestj 18s 3d; maiden, 19s fid; lighter, 16s 3d to 16s ifid; fat wethers, woolly, best 2os to 27s 8d; shorn, 18s to 235. Store sheep: Ewe hoggets, best 23s 4d to 23s 10d, poor 17s fid. Fat Shorthorn bullocks, £l2 10s; prime heavy P.A. cows, £lO 7s fid to £lO 17s fid; Shorthorn cows, £lO ss. Stores: Four and 5-ycar P.A. bullocks, £ll 4s; Jersey heifers, £4 to £5 ss. CARTERTON SALE. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd. (Stock Department) report on the Carterton sale as follows: —No sheep came forward, but we had a fair entry of cattle and a large yarding of pigs. Competition for eattlo was about on a par with recent aslcs. Porker pigs were easier in value, but weaner pigs sold a little better than last week. The following were tho prices recorded: —1 fat cow, £7 14s, heifer in milk, £6; springing heifer, £7; store cows, £2 6s to £3 4s; yearling dairy heifers, £3 10s to £4; good porkers, £1 16s 6d to £2 2s fid; slips, 24s to 275; weaner pigs, 22s fid to 13s.
