HOMESTEAD BURNED.

MR G. D. GREENWOOD’S LOSS. (By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. The picturesque “ Teviotdale ” homestead, near Amberlev, owned by Mr G. D. Greenwood, was destroyed by fire last, night. The valuable furniture was lost, but all the racing cups were saved. The homestead was an old singlestory building, with a portion built in 1867, when the run was purchased. It is understood that both Mr G. D. Greenwood and his son were in the house when the fire started, and had narrow escapes.
