(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Monday. Requiring 207 runs to Tetain the Hawko Cup, and with eight wickets in hand, Manavvatu played a sterling innings to-day against Rangitikei, to fall short of the required total by 4 runs. Butler, the last man in, was obviously out through nervousness. The scores were: Rangitikei, first innings, 177; second innings, 474.
