OLD BOYS’ CLUB. ANNUAL -MEETING. The annual meeting of the Old Hoys’ Football Club was hold at the W’airarapa High .School last night, there being a large attendance of members and others. The annual report recorded a successful year, tho club now being well established in three grades, senior, junior and third, all the teams meeting with a fair measure of success. The seniors were runners-up in their competition, and annexed the Redmond Cup from Gladstone, who had held it for some years, and also won three seven-a-side tournaments, at Kaponga, tht Wairarapa Rugby Union’s, and one at the Masterton Electric Light- Committee’s meeting. Representative honours in the senior team were gained by A. E. Cooke (captain), L. Roach, J. Le Qucsne and K. MeC’almout. With the coming visit of the British team, the report stated that it was up to all players to keep themselves physically fit. The junior team was well up in the competition, but suffered from players filling vacancies in the senior team. Junior representative honours were gained by Street, Trapp, Tocker, Balloon and E. Ilolmwood. The third grade team carried on in spite of difficulties and fulfilled all engagements, and their efforts were to be commended. During the season Mr J. L. Heckler donated a trophy for the most improved back in the senior team, this being awarded to W. Innes; Mr ,J. Leiteh donated a trophy for the most improved forward, this going to J. Bennett, and Mr Gordon ■ Laing gave a gold medal for the most : improved junior player, which was presented to M. Tocker. Thanks were accorded to these gentlemen for thenpractical efforts to help Rugby. Regret was expressed at losing the services of Mr E. L. Ilolmwood, the president. His loss was hard to bear, as lie was one of the greatest workers for the club since its inception. The club had also lost Mr D. N. Edwards, a delegate, and Dr. G. 11. Uttley, patron. To these the committee extended their thanks and appreciation for the services rendered, and also to all who had assisted the club in many ways. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:-—Patron, Mr If. B. Tomlinson; president, Air G. D. Wilson;

MASTERTON CLUB. THE ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report of the Masterton Football Club states: —The Club was able to enter six teams in the Wairarapa Rugby Union’s competitions, and a satisfactory measure of success was achieved. The senior fifteen, although not recording a win during the season, kept together well and towards the end showed a decided improvement. A pleasing feature was the good form shown by players promoted from the junior grade. The junior fifteen, comprised mostly of promoted third grade players, gave a good account of themselves under the capable coaching of Mr M. Fly. The third fifteen was a young and light combination, but Mr F. Groubc, by taking a great interest ' in them, soon moulded them into shape , and eventually finished well up in the championship. The fourth, fifth and sixth grade teams all gave a good account of themselves, and training operations were taken seriously by the nicm--bers of these grades—this is very gratifying to the club’s coaches. On tho past season’s operations the committee is able to show a credit balance. During the season the following club players gained representative honours: — Wairarapa senior representatives, T. H. Harvey and J. Mill; junior representatives, B. Sutherland. The committee wish to thank all office-bearers, coaches and supporters who have assisted the club during the past season, and hope for a continuance of tho same support, during the approaching season.
