BRITISH FARMERS.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR VISIT. Arrangements for the reception of the British farmers who are to arrive in Masterton to-morrow are now well in hand, but the Provincial Secretary of the Farmers’ Union (Mr das. Watson) is still anxious to hear from additional motorists who are willing to assist in transporting the visitors to and from the station, and in taking them for a drive round the district tomorrow afternoon. It is hoped that there will be an immediate and adequate response to the appeal for ears. Any volunteers whose cars are found not to be required will be notified in good time. In order that there may be no hitch in getting the visitors away from the railway station, it is requested in an advertisement to-day that the north-, ern area of the station yard may be left entirely to the cars that are meeting the visitors when the 2 p.m. train arrives to-morrow. Permission has been obtained for the parking of cars in all the streets immediately adjacent to the Municipal Hall when the reception is in progress to-morrow afternoon. This is important, as it will enable the best use to be made of the rather brief time available.

A representative attendance 'at the reception to-morrow is assured. In addition to tho visiting British farmers and their drivers and hosts, invitations have been sent to representatives of all town and country public bodies in the Wairaraua. The members of the Women’s Division are providing for the entertainment of a company of two hundred at afternoon tea.
