TRUST LANDS TRUST.
MONTHLY MEETING-. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held last night and presided over by the Chairman, Mr W. H. Jackson. Other members present were Messrs 11. Kra-liag-en, T. Wagg, G. Selby, J. L. Hughes, T. F. Watson, S. L. P. Free, J. M. Coradine and D. Caselberg. The treasurer’s report showed debit balances on No. 1 account of £273 5s 7d and on No. 2 account £7O 19s.
The Masterton Plunket Society wrote thanking the Trustees for the first instalment of the 'annual grant. A communication was received from the Wairarapa Cricket Association asking the Trustees to favourably consider the application of the- Wairarapa Kugby Union for a Fug lease of the Cameron Memorial Park.
It Avas decided to hold a special meeting of the Trust to discuss the Wairarapa Kugby Union’s application for the Memorial Park. This was done on the request of the Union contained in a letter before the Trust. On the recommendation of the Education Committee a special grant of £2 2s was authorised to a student as matriculation examination fee.
The treasurer’s report Avas adopted and that of the Finance Committee.
An applietaion for a grant towards the cost of a correspondence course Avhich came before last meeting and referred to the Education Committee was not granted, the Committee’s report stated that their was no recommendation to make. Other matters dealt Avith are reported elsewhere under different headings.
