SHOTGUN DUEL.
MAN’S HEAD BLOWN OFF.
SYDNEY, Thursday.
A Gloucester message states that in a sensational shotgun duel, near Copeland, James Curran, aged 52, was shot dead, his head being blown off and other dreadful injuries inflicted. Several hours later Lawrence Edwards, 22, who was co-respondent in Curran’s divorce suit, surrendered to the police and was charged with murder.
