CHURCH OF EPIPHANY.
FANCY DRESS BALL. A large attendance of children .and adults spent a very happy time in the Church of the Epiphany Schoolroom last eveiling,- on the occasion of a children’s fancy dress ball organised by the Ladies’ Guild. The function was in every Avay a great success. The costumes of the children Avere novel and ingenious, and there was a bright and merry scene when the dancing Avas in progress. An excellent supper, provided and served by the members of the Ladies’ Guild, Avas greatly enjoyed. The pianistes of the evening Avere Mesdames W. G. Perry and E. J. Coleman, and the costumes Avere judged by Mesdames Archer Hosking and H. G. Moser.
The. following Avere the awards: — Boys under 10, best, D. Miller, “SundoAvner”; most original, Baby Judd, “Cupid.” Girls under 10: Best, X., Palamontain, Spanish Girl; most original, Mary Gerrand. Boys, 10 to 16, best, lan Coleman, “Music”; most original, A. Liidemann, “Sundowner”; most original, O. NcAvland, “Ladies Guild.” Boys, over 16, C. Jackson and R. Bell, ‘.‘John Henry and Blossom.” Girls, over 16, M. Kemp, Pirrette.
A special prize donated by the judges Avas aAvarded to N. Burr. The prizes Avere donated by Mesdames Dalrymple, Cave, Chennels, Nesbit, Boddington, Miller, and Shepherd, Mr Whitton and Ken Whitton.
Joyce Palamontain and Betty Braggins presented bouquets to the judges on behalf of the Guild. The Rev. McLevie in a brief speech, thanked the judges, prize-givers and performers, and all those Avho had assisted to make the function so successful.
