COOKING BY ELECTRICITY.
SUCCESSFUL AND ECONOMICAL. For perfect results, it is necessary to cook funds at exactly the right temperature, and to keep the heat under control. You can get tho exact heat you want nad control it absolutely in an electric range. Y’ou can heat tho oven, put in the food, set the switch, and go out for the rest of the morning, with the knowledge that when you come home you will have a perfectlycooked dinner, with no waste of either food material or cooking heat. With an electric range, also, top heat is so evenly distributed that saucepans do not show the same tendency to burn. And, of course, with electricity, there is no discoloration of utensils as in older methods. Both top and oven heat is retained long after the current is switched off. It is, therefore, not necessary to use current all the time during cooking operations. This is the great secret of electrical cooking economy. Further information can be obtained from the Wairarapa Electric Power Board, Carterton, and estimates for any kind of electric installation will be given without charge. "
