ILLEGAL EUCHRE.
TWO PERSONS CONVICTED. (By Telegraph—'Press Association.) GREYMOUTII, Monday. Two members of the Blaketown Citizens’ Committee were convicted without penalty on a charge of keeping a commong aming house. Euchre tournaments were held to help pay for a hall, two-thirds of the takings being given as prizes. The Magistrate (Mr Meldrum) said the Act made no distinction between tournaments run for public or prhatc purposes. ■
