SCHOONER OVERDUE.

ANXIETY CAUSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Northern Steamship Company’s auxiliary schooner Hauturu crossed the Manakau bar on Thursday evening, bound for Hokianga, but has not since been reported, thus causing some anxiety for her safety, as she must have encountered the fierce gale soon after getting to sea. Enquiries to-day elicited replies from Cape Maria Van Diemen and Ahipara (Hokianga Heads) that she had not been seep at either of those places.
