DESTROYED BY FIRE.
WHALING LAUNCH. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. The whaling launch Miss Liberty, owned by the J. A. Perano whaling party of Tory Channel, took fire while chasing a whale in Cook Strait on Saturday. A towline was attached and the vessel brought into the channel but the tow line burnt through. The launch was completely destroyed. The crew were saved. 'Miss Liberty was one of the fastest crafts in the New Zealand waters.
