FEILDING SALE. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) FEILDING, Friday. At the Feildiiig stock sale there was a medium entry of about 3000 sheep, consisting mainly of ‘breeding ewes, fat sheep and lambs. All classes of fat sheep met with a ready demand and sc Id well up to late rates. Breeding ewes, perhaps, weer hardly up to the quality of late offerings, but sold -well up to late rates, taking their condition into account. A wellibrcd line of 51 2-tooth to 4-year-old ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, sold at 38s Od; fat lambs, 26s to 38s 6d; fat ewes, 27s 7d to 31s 4d; fat wethers, 29s to 40s 3d; fat woolly w.f. lambs, 39s Id to 419; 4 and 5-year ewes, r.w. S.D. rams,-27s 6d to 33s 8d; empty ewes, 16s Id to 19s; b.f. lambs, 15s 6d to 17s 7d; 5-year ewes-, r.w. S.D. rams, 24s Sd to 28s 2d; 4-tooth to 5-year ewes, r.w. R. ram 9, 335; 4-tooth to 4-year ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 32s 9d to 35s 6d; 2 to iGtootli ewes,, r.w. S.D. rams, 38s 6d; ewe hoggets, 30s to 38s 4d; 2-tooth wethers, 29s lOd; Tn.a. stud Southdown ewes, 4gns; 4 and 5-year do., Signs; 4year do., sgns. There was a medium entry of cattle. Store cattle and fat cows were con ideiably easier. The dairy stock off ed was not of a high quality, being mostly second grade and sold on a par with late rates. Heifers, spring culvers, £3 15s to £6 10s; cow, springing, £5 10s to £l2 159; cows in milk, £7 to £8; store ec vs, £3 5s to £4 ss; Jersey weaners, £2 16s to £5 ss; fat cows, £5 12s 6d to £8; fat steers, £8 Ids; Polled yearling steers £0 ss; store Hereford bullocks, £7 15s to £8 15s; store Polled Angus bullocks, £7 18s to £8 19s.
CARTERTON SALE. The New Zealand Farmers ’ Co-opera-tive Distributing Co., Ltd., report on the Carterton -sale as follows: —Owing to the boisterous state of the weather only a small yarding of sheep came forward, which sold at the following prices:—Medium shorn wether lambs, 19s Id; aged ewes in lamb to S.D. rams, 24s 6d to 265; empty store ewes, 225. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., report: At Carterton we offered a small entry of both sheep and catle, , prices being fully maintained on recent sales. We report: 40 f.m. ewes, r.w. S.D. rams (poor quality), 19s 4d; 6 forward ewes, 22s 6d; 6 do. wethers, 30s 6d; smaller lines at late rates; 8 wcaner heifers, £2 10s; 2 store cows, £4; 1 fat heifer, £5; 1 empty do., £4 2s; 3 2-year bulls, £4 15s. ‘The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., report: At Eketahuna we offered a small entry of aheep, which sold at full rates on last sale’s report. We quote: 32 fat wethers, 375; 34 small 2-tooth wethers, 27s 9d; 8 m.s. small lambs, 15s 8d; heifers in milty £5 10s to £6 17s 6d; springing heifers, £7 to £7 7s 6d.
