TURF TOPICS. The Mastcrton Racing Club wrote to the meeting of the Squth Wairarapa Trotting Club on Wednesday stating that it had definitely decided not to apply for December 26 and 27 for its racing dates. It was decided to write the Racing Club thanking it for its decision and also to write Air W. E. Bidwill for the interest he had taken in the matter.

At a meeting of the Auckland District Committee held yesterday the appeals lodged by AY. A. Rennie, C. N. Carmont, J. 11. Mcßae and A. J. Gilmer, against their disqualification by the Rotorua Racing Club for a breach of part XXXII of Rule 1 (X) of the Rules of Racing were dismissed and the penalty in each case increased to two years and their deposits forfeited. The Takapuna Jockey Club is to be asked to inquire into certain allegations made during the course of an inquiry regarding happenings connected with the running of that cluli’s Highweight Handicaps and the Alexander Racing Club, Pirongia, is to be asked to hold an inquiry into a question arising out of the running of a hurdle race at its race meeting last Boxing Day.
