EXPORT PRICES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLI XOTON, Thursday. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises that the following prices are being offered for fat stock for export at May 28:— Canterbury: Prime woolly lambs, u/36, 11 7-8 d; 37/421bs, II 1-Sd; 0/48, 10 5-Sd; second quality lambs, 10 7-Sd. EKETAHUNA SALE. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., report: —We offered' a good yarding of about 1350 sheop and also a fair number of cattle to a large attendance of buyers. The demand for sheep was keen throughout, prices being quite equal to those ruling at larger centres. Best breeding ewes to Southdown rams made 37s 4d and fat and forward b.f. lambs, 27s 6d. The bulk of our cattle offering comprised dairy heifers due August and September sold on account of Mr F. H. Richards, a number of which was secured by a buyer from Foxton. These were all of exceptional quality. We report: —Sheep: 02 4-year ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 37s 4d; 30 5-vear do, 355; 22 do, 275; 78 do, 31s Od; 20 cull do, 10s; 15 2-th ewes r.w. Rom. rams, 36s Gd; 07 b.f. fat and forward lambs, 27s 6d; 14 store do, 25s sd; 30 do, 20s Od; 85 do, 20s; 20 do, 20s Sd; other small lots, 20s; 31 ewe lambs 265; 22 do, 24s Od; 20 do, 22s 9d; best whitefaced wether lambs (small lots), 22s Od to 22s 7cl; 133 medium w.f. lambs, 19s 7d; 161 do, 18s lOd; 35 do, 20s 4d; 25 do, 17s 9d; 114 do, 14s 6d; small lambs 10s, 11s Od to 13s Id; good wethers (small lots), 28s, 295, 29s 3d, 33s to 33s Gd. Cattle: —19 rising 2 and 3-year Jersey heifers, due August and September, £S ss, £9 2s Od to £lO 2s Gd; crossbred do, £5 10s, £0 to £S; other lines made full rates.
