It. is stated that Merv Grea Bread, of Greytown, is not available to go into camp with the Wairarapa team. Auckland still holds the New Zealand record for attendance at a Rugby League club game, 18,000 having been present to see the play-off between Marist and Dcvonport in 1922. Auckland can claim to hold the record for attendance at any football match, Rugby or League, namely, 42,000, when the New Zealand League team played England at Carlaw Park in 1920.
