PERSONAL ITEMS.

Miss Jessie Cooper, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Cooper, of Benall Street, lias joined th e staff of the Karitane Hospital, Wellington. Mr Bouzaid, the Greytown junior footballer who wa s injured while playing in a match between Greytown and Old Boys in Masterton last Saturday, was discharged from the Public Hospital yesterday. Mr W. H. Bobertshaw, Feilding, manager of the Bank of Australasia, has been transferred to Wanganui, vice Mr A. S. Browne, who is retiring. Mr A. C. St. Paul, of Wairoa, and formerly teller at tha Masterton branch of the Bank, is to succeed Mr Bobertshaw in Fcilding. The Carterton Druids have elected the following officers for the ensuing year:—A.D., Bro. B. Whitburn; V.A.D., Bro. H. Bain; secretary, Bro. E. McKenzie; treasurer, Bro. B. Smith; 1.G., Bro. B. Whitburn; 0.G., Bro. W. Hart; A. Bards, Bros. I. Hart and S. Hart; B. Bards, Bros. W. Bannin and C. A. McPhee; musician, Bro. C, Kitchen; auditor, Bro. J. Johnson. Members of the staff of the Masterton branch of the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association, met yesterday to b'id farewell to Miss Grace Reynolds, prior to her marriage. Mr W. Jago, on behalf of the staff, presented Miss Reynolds with a dinner set and rose bowl,. and in doing so spoke highly of the personal qualities of the recipient, and also said that the firm was very sorry indeed to lose such a trustworthy and diligent worker after an association extending over eight years. Miss Reynolds suitably replied.
