SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

NOMINATIONS RECEIVED. Nominations for the larger school committees closed last evening at eight o’clock. In Masterton, apparently only one election will be necessary, in the case of-the Central School. The following are the nominations received: — MASTERTON CENTRAL. An election will be held at Masterton Central. In addition to the sitting members, who have all been re-nomin-ated, two ladies have'.been nominated, Mcsdames Macomish and Kane. The sitting members are:—Messrs J. E. MeV. Cal well, Whittou, 0. Braggins, G. L. Serivincr, A. Williams, A. E. Freeman, It. Itusscll, W. R. Nicol and G. Masters. MASTERTON WEST. There will be no election at the Masterton West School, the sitting members of the committee only being nominated. They are as follow: —Messrs .T. V. Gordon, A. C. McDiarmid, H, '.‘E. Davis, L. Clarke, J. J. McCleary, "J.’ JA. Russell, J. L .Hughes, A. S. Rpbertjspiij, and 11. S. Loudon. | LANSDOWNE. ; ' j Messrs W. Aitken, James Allan, Thomas Bacon, A. H. Clarke, H. V. liaise, D. A. Pickering, A. M. Sanson, E. Welch and R. Whyborn have beep, nominated for the Lansdowne Committee. All except Messrs Aitken, Bacon and Whyborn are sitting members. It is not known if any further nominations have been received by the chairman (Mr D. A. Pickering), who is at present absent from Masterton, but, if not,' an election will not be held, as the required number aro nominated.
