COLLISION WITH TRAIN.

MOTOR CAR WRECKED

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday.

The motor car of Sydney Ernest Chappell was a complete wreck in Valley road early this afternoon, when it was lifted away from the front of a tramcar that was bound for the city.

The accident had occurred through Chappell failing to notice the tramcar. It was raining heavily at the time, and his windscreen was blurred. The car was struck broadside on by the tram, and Joseph Chappell, who was with the driver, had his hand badiv lacerated.
