COURSING.

THE WAIRARAPA CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The first annual meeting of the Wairarapa Coursing Club Avas held last evening, the president, Mr A. Ross, being in the chair. The Patea Coursing Club -wrote regarding the general conduct of coilrs-

ing in New Zealand,'and suggesting that a meeting of delegates from - a:l clubs in the North Island be held at Marton. Mr W. Jeffrey was appointed a delegate to attend the meeting, if held.

The secretary was instructed to obtain information regarding the registration of the club. The committee were recommended to erect a fence just within the enclosure, for the convenience of the public wit-

nessing the coursing. FL The membership fee for the coming 9 year was fixed at £1 Is. Tii'- financial year is to end on January 10th, the annual meeting to be held within a fortnight of that date. The balance sheet, which disclosed a credit balance of £3l 7s, was adopt off unanimously. Thirty-three and a third per cent was written off for depreeia- , tion.
