GERMAN MONARCHISTS.
PREPARING FOR COUP. TRAINING THE ARMY. Press Association-Electric Telegraph-Copyright. LONDON, Monday. The Daily Telegraph’s Berlin correspondent Pys there is a deal of indirect evidence that the German army is being prepared for a Monarchist coup d’etat. It was recently announced that Prince Wilhelm, the ex-Crown Prince’s eldest son, had taken part in manoeuvres with the first cofnpany of the Ninth. Potsdam Regiment at Mergentheini. Denials have been issued saying that the Prince was only a- spectator, but witnesses assert that the Prince certainly did duty with an infantry regiment at Munsingen, sometimes appearing in the uniform of the. Kaiser ? s army, and sometimes in that of the Reiclnvehr. The Prince also shared in an ''expedition to Hohenzollem 'Castle, the original home of the family, and there received a soldier’s homage. The first company of the Ninth Regiment have taken over the traditions of the First Foot Guards, with whom all the Hohenzollerns used to be trained.
