ST. MATTHEW’S CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the St. Matthews’ Tennis Club was held last evening. There was a very good attendance of members. The annual report stated that iwo grass courts had been laid down, but owing to unsuitable weather when the courts were laid, they would not be Teady for .play until December. During the season'the results of the competitions were as 'follows:—Championship •singles, Andrew Cup, Miss A. Perry; club handicap singles, Mr Major’s trophy, Miss A. Perry. .Junior girls’ sinaleA Miss M. Harrap; junior boys’ singb'jPwcorge Bell. The financial statement showed a dei)it balance of £CG, and ways and means weer discussed of-reducing this Fum. It was suggested that. a‘ concert should bo held in November, and that members bo asked to pay subscriptions as soon as possible. Officers were elected as follows: President, the -Rev. W .Bullock; vicepresidents, Mosdnmes M. Gawi.th, .1. Welch, G. Mawley and Rishworth, Messrs W. Andrew, S. J AV. Gill. G. \V. Smith, A. C. Major and R. J. Barton, and Dr. Archer Hoslcing; secretary and treasurer,. Miss M. Spencer; comniit- \ tee, Messrs Hatch, Datson, Ball and < Robinson, Misses M. Harrap, C. Carle and M. Bayliss; tournament committee, Miss A. Perry, Rev. Datson and; * M. ■Hatch;. afternoon tea secretary, Miss I. Carle. Jv pj ie Rev. W.
