FEILDING SALE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, Friday. At the Feilding stock sale there was a -good yarding. Some very fine fat sheep sold at a decided advance on late sales. The store pens contained only hoggets of medium to inferior quality, with an odd pen of fair ewe hoggets. These sold on a par with late sales. Prices ruled as follows: —One pen of ewes of fair quality with good b.f. lambs at foot, 325; fat hoggets, 22s 10d to 41s; ewes, 29s to 34s fid; wethers, 30s, 31s 9d to 40s and 44s- 6d; b.f. 31s sd. Stores. —Hoggets, m.s., 12s 5d to 20s 4d; ewes, 15s 6d to 22s 7d; wethers, 14s to 16s 7d; fair ewes, 100 per cent lambs, 325; cull hoggets, 6s 6d to 10s-; good woolly ewe hoggets, 325; b.f. hoggets, 12s fid to ISs 9d. There was a very poor yarding of cattle and a poor -sale. Dairy stock was hard to quit, only a few of the best heifers selling on a par with late sales. The sale: for fat cattle was very poor. Best springing heifers, £8 to £9 10s: medium heifers, £4 to £5 10s; dairy cows, £4 10s to £7 ss; medium fat cows, £7 2s fid; fat Hereford heifers, £9 2s 6d. , CARTERTON SALE. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report : —We offered a fair yarding of pigs and cattle to the usual attendance at Carterton yesterday. Dairy cattle met- with a dull sale and were hard to quit. There was a good demaijd for pigs, and the whole yarding sold at very satisfactory prices. Following are our prices:—Springing heifers, £4 to £5 10s; springing heifers (small), £2 5s to £3 2s 6d; springing cows, £4 to £6; empty cows, 35s to £3; wcancr pigs, 18s fid to '23s; slips, 26s to 28s. Tlic W.F.C.A., Ltd., report on the Cart*rton sale: —A medium entry of dairy stock met with a moderate sale at late rates. Fat cattle sold readily, as also did a heavy'entry of pigs, our list comprising a total of 80-head. We report:—Nine springing dairy heifers, £3 10s, £4 15s, £5, £5 5s to £5 10s; dairy cows (good), to £5; cows and calves, to £8; light fat cows, £4 15s; fat heifers, £6 2s fid to £6 3s. Pigs.—3l weaners (in lots), Bs, 13s, 17s, 18s fid, 20s fid, 23s fid, 25s 6d to "30s; 22 slips, 21s fid, 23s fid, 275, 29s to 30s; 11 porkers, 34s fid, 36s,* 38s, £2 to £2 9s; ibaconeis, £3; sows in pig, £2 12s fid, £3 10s, £4 12s fid to £4 16s.
