"A very pretty wedding was Solemnised yesterday at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, the contracting parties be l ing Miss Elsie Elizabeth Lent,on, youn : ger daughter of Mr and Mrs G. L. Hanlon, of Wliangai Moana, Lower Valley, and Mr Cecil Joseph, third son of Miami Mrs T. R. Williams, Hataitai, WcP lington. The Rev. W. Bullock officiated and the Wedding March was played by Mr, C. Spencer Compton. ’ The bride, who entered the clfurcli on the arm of her father, was charmingly attired in shell pink crepe de chine, .with silver lace gOdets. A beautiful liand-embroidered tulle veil, held in place-with a silver band ,and orange blossom at the side, was worm. She also wore silver shoes and- stockings to match. The bouquet, of white chrysanthemums. pink carnations' and maidenhair fern, lent the finishing touch. She was attended by Miss Barbara H. Coutts as bridesmaid, who wore a very pretty flared frock of apricot and cream marocain, her hat being of black tulle with sprays to match her dress. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tint-ed chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. A little niece of the bride, Elsie Findlay, also attended as flower girl, and wore a dainty little dress of heliotrope crepe be chine prettily finished with rosebud trimmings. She carried a basket of heliotrope and pink carnations. The bridegroom was attended by bis brother, Mr Jack Williams, as best man.
A releption was afterwards held at the Park Tea Kiosk, where about SO guests were entertained bv the bride’s parents. Mrs Hanlon was attired in a cedar coloured tailored costume, with hat and bouquet to tone. Mr and Mrs Williams later left en route for a honeymoon trip in the Taranaki district, the bride wearing a. smart costume of rust-colo/ired repp cloth with neat felt hat to match. Among a number of congratulatory messages was a radiogram from the bridegroom’s patents, who are on their way to England. Among the presents were a handsome pewter entree dish from the Greytown Hospital friends, and an oak case of silver iisli knives and forks from Sisters Person and Sid del Is, of the “Glenwood” Private Hospital.
