WEDDING.
ROSS—QUIN. At St. ATatthew’s Church last evening a very pretty wedding was celebrated by tne Rev. AV. Bullock, when Zelda Hannah, youngest daughter of Air and Airs. 3. T. Quin, Church street, Alasterton, was married to John Alexander Ross, formerly of the Bank of New Zealand, Hastings, second son of Air. and Airs. G. Ross, of Alasterton. The bride, entering the Church with her father, was prettily gowned in wliita brocaded satin, with long georgette sleeves and side panels, trimmed with pearls. From her shoulders hung a long white satin Court train, with lovers’ knots and sprays of orange blossoms. The bridal veil was fastened with orange blossoms and pearls. A handsome bouquet of lilies, roses, carnations and ferns complet de'tlic* charming otilette. Airs. Cliffe, sister of the bride, was matron of honour. She wore a satin frock of orange sunset shade, with deep flouncing of georgette and guipure lace and headdress, with ospreys and bouquet to tone. Aliss Tabart (AVanganui) cousin of the bride was chief bridesmaid, wearing a light apricot satin frock with gold lace panels and trimmings. She carried a bouquet to tone. The bridegroom ’s sisters, Alisses Bessie and Jean Ross, were attired in pale bine crepe-de-chine ’frocks with side panels of georgette of the same shade. Their bouquets matched their frocks. The three bridesmaids wore tulle bands relieved with tiny flowers and leaves. The two little flower girls were Dorothy Tver, cousin of the bride, in pale pink satin, trimmed with pink ninon and rosebud rosettes, and Thyra Cliff.', niece of the bride, in pink satin, with a dainty overdress of string-coloured net and guipure lace Both little ones wore dainty caps, and carried silver baskets of rose petals, which they strewed 'before the happy couple as they left, the .church. Air. R. N. Evernden (AVellingtou) was best man, and Air. AV. Ross (Alasterton), brother of the bridegroom and Air. Davenport (England) were groomsmen. Air. A. C. K. Harper played Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March” and Lohengrin’s “Bridal Alarch.” A reception was afterwards held by the bride’s parents in St. Alatthew’s Hall.
Air. and Airs. .T. A. Ross left later by car, the brute wearing a. very pretty blue French frock handsomely beaded and smart hat to tone.
