STEAM MONOWAI'S END.
USED AS BREAKWATER. (By Telegranh—press Association.) GISBORNE, This Day. The Harbour Board this morning- decided to purchase the Union Company’s for the purpose of sinking as n breakwater and jetty at Whnrcongaonga (ten miles south of Gisborne) where a quarry is being opened to provide stone for the large harbour scheme.
The purchase price is £I2OO, and includes delivery of the Mouowai at Gisborne.
