Bright sunshine for December, 252 hours 37 minutes; .no sunless days; previous average 10 years 229 hours 5 minutes; previous maximum, 279 hours 19 minutes iu 1919; minimum, 178 hours 13 minutes in 1922. Total bright sunshine for the year, 2102 hours 13 minutes. The Rev. D. C. Bates reports for the twenty-four hours from 9 a.m. this day as follows: — 1 The present indications are for westerly winds,, moderate to strong, and backing by west to north, then freshening.!
