The main body is still at Chinchow, but the advance guards are approaching Liaohon. Japanese gendarmes are assisting tho police in Mukden. Kuominclnin’s troops have now reached Yangtsien and the Liehinglitites - have withdrawn to Peitsang. Trains are running to-day between Peking and Tientsin. Lichingliu is reported to have taken personal command of the troops near Maehnng, and claims that he lias defeated two brigades of the second Kuo--111 incliun army at Tzeyaho, and one brigade at TasJieng. Four hundred additional Japanese trops have gone to Mukden. All foreigners in Hsinminfu have evacuated. It is understood that a number of foreign women have been given refuge at the Japanese and other Consulates in Mukden, where all Consuls held a meeting to plan measures for the protection of nationals. ills in min fu is said to have been looted by Mukden troops to-day.—Aus. and N.Z.
