MISSING ON MOUNTAIN.

ANXIETY FOR UNKNOWN MAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAWERA, Wednesday. Considerable anxiety is felt in the Rowan district concerning the whereabouts of a man, whose identity is not known, but who is apparently lost on the Egmont mountain reserve. At mid-day on Monday, • the man, driving a car, made inquiries from settlers at the end of the metalled road as to how much further lie could go in the car. Later, he left the car at the edge of the bush, and entered it on foot. Sincd then he lias not been seen. From papers left-in. the car, the man might be H. Hansen, employed on a farm in the district. Hansen is known to be an experienced luishman, and it is surmised that lie met with an accident while in the reserve. The police arc organising search parties.
