Hay, -a clerk in the traffic office o£ tho Wanganui railways, had his left leg and -right heel badly crushed last night through being run over by a waggon "that was being shunted at Aramoho. He was riding a cycle towards the platform when it skidded and he fell -on the path in front of the oncoming waggon. He was removed to the hospital and liis left leg amputated at the thigh. His •condition is serious.
