METHODIST LADIES’ GUILD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held yesterday afternoon. Mr. W. Beckett presided. Dr. Helen Cowie, who addressed the meeting, took for her subject, “Arc the Avomen of to-day better off than the -women of 100 years ago?" A hearty A'ote of thanks was passed to Dr. CoAvie for her splendid address. Afternoon tea was then dispensed by a committee of ladies, after Avhieh solos were rendered by Misses V. Jackson, E. Jones and Mrs. Marr.

It- AA-as decided to send a letter -of sympathy to Mrs. D. ‘Williams in -her illness.

Votes of thanks were passed to the ladies for proAuding afternoon tea and to all who had given items.
