TUBERCULOSIS COWS.
Sgs ; ' COMPENSATION MEASURE. (Received Monday, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday. The House of Commons carried a measure for compensation to farmers to the extent of three-cpiarters of the cost of tuberculous cows condemned. It is estimated that a thousand are slaughtered monthly, costing the Treasury £67,500 per annum. —Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
