CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. “It is the first I have heard of it, and I cannot believe it, ’ ’ said Mr Price, manager of the Union Steam Ship Company at Christchurch, alluding to the Dunedin complaint about the Mararoa being a dirty ship. “If the statement refers to the' last trip down of the Maiaroa, the -water might have got in, but I have not heard of it. “It is a damaging statement to make, and I think the man.who made it should put his name to' it, ” added Mr Price. In repiy to a further question, Mr Price said: “'The statement is incorrect.”
