AT OAMARU ELECTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association ) OAMARU, Saturday. The recent municipal election in Oamaru is likely do produce interesting <,levelopment£ At one of the outlying booths a large number of elctiors eoijhl not gain admission when the booth was cips,ed,at 7 p.m. The Mayor obtained authority .from the returning officer to re-open the booth, and many voters obtained ad mission after the closing hour. A petition for a magisterial inquiry will probably be lodged. Meantime the returning officer has asked the Minister of,lnternal Affairs to issue an Order-in-Cpuncil validating his action. ~ i »
