Mr Theodore, speaking at Townsville, said: “There can be nothing wrong in the Italians coming to the country. Queensland is sorely in need of population, particularly immigrants for the land, where Italianstwere willing to go. The trouble was that they congregated in one or two district, thus Hooding- the local market. The remedy lav in spreading them over a-larger area. The Premier (Mr. Gillies) said that lie concurred in this view.—(P.A.)
