IN MOROCCO.
A SPANISH ATTACK. * MADRID, Monday. An official communique states that a column, commanded by General Souza, in co-oporation with the licet and airforce, effected a landing at El Kazr Sequir, half-way between Ceuta and Tangier, on the exposed flank of the enemy. There was weak resistance. It is noteworthy that the zone which the Spanish • Geneial Staff has selected for the long-expected counter-offensive is occupied hv the Anjera tribesmen, formerly friendly to Spain, who recently adhered to the so-called Riffian Republic.
The reopening of hostilities coincides with the Mohammedan Fast of Ramadan, which the Riffians strictly observe.—Reuter.
