SA'DXEY, Saturday. The Rosehill races were held in fine weather. Results: —
Rawson Stakes. —The Hawk 1, Wliittier 2, Polycletnn 3. Tihrteen starters The Hawk was first away, but Whittier led into the straight, followed by Wallace Alortlake, Windbag and The Hawk in that order. The Hawk came again a furlong from home and snatched victory by a neck in 1.154, a track record.
Beauford, after IS months’ absence from the track, started in the Railway Handicap, and was beaten by Valiant by 11 lengths in 1.25), equal to the course record. —(F.A.)

Jn the Australasian trotting championship, Groat Hope won the final heat and championship, receiving an ovation wi{ji> musical honours. The deciding event was the third jifj.Pp, oyer two miles. First heat: Tara ire (N.Z.j i, Sola "Girl (W.A) 2, De La van (Vic.) 3. 'Time, 4.34. Second heat: Great Hope (N.Z.) 1, Globe Pool (N.S.W-) 2, Vin Direct (Vic.) 3. Time, 4.37.
Final. —Great Hope 1, Globe Pool 2, Taraire 3. The winner led throughout, and won by a foot; same between second and third, Time, 4.344. Great Hope gcored 7 points, and Vin Direct 6.—P.A.
