W.F.C.A. SALES. The W.F.C.A. Stock Department report on their Carterton sale as follows: —A fairly good entry of sheep, a medium entry of pigs, and a small offering of cattle came forward. The sheep entry, which mostly comprised .Mr C. Rogers’ offering, was passed, although prices were offered exceeding late sales. We report other sales as follows: 37 ewes 24s sd, 41 do. 26s 9d, 17 do. 30s, 46 do. 32s Id, 10 lambs 14s fid, 10 ram lambs ills, 42 wether Jambs 21s 6d, 63 m.s. do. 2.1 s 7d, 12 do. 14s 3d, 68 b.f. do. 10s 4d, 10' 2-tooth wethers 33s 10d. ■Rigs.—Weaners 7s, Ss, 10s, 11s (id; porkers, 275, 3.15; slips, 19s. Fat cows averaged about £6.
At Mr F. A. Jensen’s clearing sale on Friday we offered his complete herd of dairy cows and high-grade heifers. Although the attendance was small, a particularly good sale resulted, dairy cows making up to £l3 3s, and the herd averaging £6 5s per head. The grade Jersey. heifers, which were exceptionally choice, sold up to £lO 6s. Pigs realised more than late reports. FEILDING SALE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, Friday. There was a full yarding of sheep, mostly breeding ewes and lambs of good quality which sold well up to late prices. Good lines of b.f. lambs were keenly competed for. There was a small yarding of cattle. Fat lambs: 28s fid to 40s 3d, ewes 365, wethers 36s to 3'Ss, woollcy 465, b.f. sheep 40s, breeding ewes best 30s 7cl to 30s Od, 31s 4d to 365, jned. 27s 3d, two tooth 32s Od to 335, w.f. lambs best 21s 5d to 31s, mod. J3s 2d to 16s Id, good 255, b.f. lambs best 21s to 27s 7d, ditto mod. 10s 3d to 19s lOd, wethers 20s to 355.
Cattle: 21 year steers £6, good fat heifers £7 10s, light fat heifers £4 10s, mod. cows £6.—P.A.
