ATTEMPT TO WRECK TRAIN.
A DASTARDLY DEED. (Received Saturday, 32.35 p.m.) DELHI, Friday. A dastardly attempt to wreck the Punjab mail train while it was passing over sandy wastes in the Sind Desert is reported from Karachi. A slow passenger train proceeding in the opposite direction on the other line dashed into a rail placed across the line An investigation sliowe dthnt fifty yards of the mail train’s line had been uprooted, and the rails placed on the opposite line.
Urgent distress signals caused the mail train to pull up within one hundred feet of the breach.— Bllll.
