LAWN TENNIS.
PLAYERS’ EXPENSES. SEXSATION CAUSED. (Received Friday, 5.55 a.m.) LONDON, Thursday. A sensation has been created in the lawn tennis world by the Tennis Association \s drastic action in reference to tournament players’ expenses. Ilelmore, who was recently temporarily suspended in connection with the team lie took to Baris last autumn, lias now had his suspension extended to the end of the year. All the other players, including Von Braun, Higgs, Jacob, and A. 11. Fyzee, have received notices intimating that penalties may be inflicted unless they reveal in detail the hotel expenses paid by the Baris Club, and the deposit of their proportion thereof. —Aus. and N.Z.
