fixtures. March 13th and 14th—Napier Park R.C. Autumn. March 14th and 17th —Ohinemuri J.C. Annual. March 17th. —Opunake R.C. Annual. TURF TOPICSNow that Gloaming and Co. are not going to Australia, G. Young will not make the trip to the Commonwealth, but will be riding at the Waimate and Wellington meetings.

The failure of Gloaming to go to Australia, in addition to enabling patrons of the Wellington meeting to see him at Trentham this month, may mean also that Gloaming, Nincompoop and Chignon will race at Ricarton at Easter.

At the meeting of the South Wairarapa Trotting Club, the grant of a second day’s permit was reported, and the question of the dates for the annual trots was discussed.
