HIDES AND SKINS.
WELLINGTON SALE. Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co. report on yesterday’s hide and skin sale at Wellington, as follows: The offerings were small, oiir catalogue consisting of 1200 skins. There was the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was very keen in saltcds, but easier on dry skins. Salted skins were on a par with the previous sale; dry showed a decline of 2d. Hides were id down on the previous sale. Fine crossbred 17Jd to 18id, medium coarse 14d to 163 d, short to half wools 10-id to dad, salteds up to 15s 2d. Hides: Ox heavy to 9 3-Bd, medium do. 7 5-Bd, light 7d, cow (1 5-8 d to 7d, calf to 14id.
