INTOXICATED MEN.

’ ARRESTED IN MASTERTON.

TWO LOCKED UP YESTERDAY,

William Tyler, alias Murphy, was charged at the Masterton Police Court yesterday, before Mr. Eli Smith, J.P., with having been found drunk, and was fined 10s.

This morning, before Mr. S. L. P. Free, S.M., John Neilscn, for being found drunk in Hall street yesterday afternoon, was lined 10s. Thomas Brennan, charged with being found drunk at the Masterton railway station yesterday, was remanded for a week’s medical treatment. Sergeant Sweeney said that Brennan had been drinking methylated spirits, and was so shaky that he could not hold a cup of tea this morning.
