Black was 2 up -on the outward journey, but on the re'iurn course Black weakened in his put--£ing, and Bidwill won the twelfth and •thirteenth, making the match all square.. ‘Bidwill took th e fifteenth and seventeenth ,but Black won the last of the •round, and finished 1 down. In the afternoon Black made the game all square at the eighth, but BidTwill, by nice approaching and putting, won three holes, and at the fourteenth was 3 up and I to play. Black then imade a sensational recovery, and won the remaining four holes, principally •(through improvement in driving and approaching. Bidwill went slightly off 4ais game. QUIN BEATS GEOEGE. L. Quin was 2 down to George at the 4snd of the morning's play. In the afternoon Quin made a tremendous effort, -and with luck in putting rapidly overhauled George, and was 4 up at the turn. George was unable to cope with him, and Quin won, 5 and 3. Conway had a runaway win from Fryer, who could not do anything right. Conway was 5 up at the adjournment, and finally ran out 9 up and '.B. HORTON BEATEN.

Horton and Wright had a ding-dong .-sontest over the first nine holes. They Jhalved the first six holes, in which Horton was twice stymied, and Wright finished 1 up at the turn. Horton was considerably short in his second shots, .;und this cost him a hole at the twelfth, :-fi£teenth and sixteenth, with the result “that Wright finished 4 up.
