HARRIER CLUB
COMMITTEE MEETING. The Master-ton Harrier Club committee met in the Y.M.C.A. last evening. Mr J. Kitchener presided. It was decided that the five-mile district championship be run on Saturday from the Park; instead of the club championship. Word was received from the Hutt Valley Harrier Club that they intended to visit Masterton on September 6th, with a view to an inter-club run. About 60 members are to be present. Their team won the recent championship at Wellington. As the Vosseler Shield is to be competed for on August 30th, at ■the Hutt, all those runners who intend making the journey must notify the manager by Saturday next. H. .Orman, vice-captain, has generously donated a handsome medal in connection with the sealed handicap to be Tun on Saturday. W. Winhall, H. Orman and L. Waters were appointed a social committee to go into the matter of entertaining the Hutt Valley Harrier Club on their visit to Masterton.
